It was great to be back at Loadlink, thanks for having me!

This term, I was mostly focused on taking care of the complaints received from our customers. Previously, the Retention team had taken care of the complaints, but I was onboarded to take the load off of them and manage the complaints inbox myself. I interacted directly with customers, to mediate and help resolve each given conflict. I also assisted both the customer success team and accounting team when tasks, calls, and cases got out of hand. Throughout this term I am grateful to learn about various teams, tasks, and processes, which have ultimately helped me develop into a more adaptable, quick-thinking, and dependable individual.

A highlight or favourite project:

Throughout this term, my favourite project was my first “big” complaint case. It helped expose me to the nature of complaints, how serious legal matters actually get, and the correct processes to help resolve them. I learned quickly how much investigation goes into complaints, how tactful we need to be when handling legal situations, and what we as the involved parties’ load matching software can do to help. Taking care of complaints has made this term fly by due to its case-by-case nature, making each situation feel like its own little investigation case.

I am a returning student here at Loadlink. My last term I was here was a year ago, also in the summer. I had previously also worked on the customer success team, handling strictly migrations, however. Once the other interns and I completed our assigned migrations, we were exposed to the other teams/departments and were able to work on a multitude of different projects. We worked with the business operations team, sales team, and a little with the accounting team. This term, I have been tasked with managing our customer complaints. In addition to that, I have been helping with the customer success team and accounting team, lending a hand when things start to get out of control. My time at Loadlink has been very enjoyable, I have been exposed to many facets of the business and learned so many things. I am so grateful for my time and experience here.

How the team or company culture impacted your experience:

The company culture here at Loadlink is one of the main reasons that I was so happy to return here for another co-op term. From the start, everyone here at Loadlink has made me feel genuinely welcomed and included. The warmth and friendliness of everyone in each team (not only the CS team) has helped create a comfortable environment that encourages asking questions, sharing ideas, and continued learning. Know that I am surrounded by supporting individuals made coming to work enjoyable and helped me grow both personally and professionally. The relationships I have been able to build and the sense of belonging that I have experienced throughout my two terms here have added so much value to my coop experience. It has helped me understand a little more about what I want in my future career. I am very thankful for Loadlink as my experience has been very memorable and meaningful.

I would highly recommend Loadlink to other students! It is a welcoming and supportive workplace where students are treated as valued members of the team and are constantly given meaningful opportunities to learn, contribute, and develop their skills. Everyone is approachable and always willing to answer questions or offer guidance, which makes it easy to feel comfortable and confident in the role.
